2. What cookies are
Cookies and comparable localStorage/sessionStorage technologies store or retrieve information on users' devices. They may be personal data when linked to other identifiers. Applicable electronic-privacy and data-protection rules govern their use.
3. Categories and purposes
Strictly necessary: authentication, session integrity, security, requested functions and recording cookie choices; used without consent only where the legal exemption applies. Preferences: language or display settings; consent may be needed depending on purpose. Analytics: measuring visits and site usability; requires consent unless a lawful exemption applies. Marketing: advertising measurement, profiling or audience creation; requires consent. Listing a category does not mean GeoNexa currently uses analytics or advertising tools. The consent panel must match actually deployed technologies.
4. Managing consent
Where optional technologies are used, the panel offers Accept all, Reject optional and Customise settings. Optional categories are off by default; inactivity, scrolling or continued browsing do not constitute consent. Refusal must not disable functions that do not depend on optional storage. Users may withdraw or change consent at any time via Cookie settings. Withdrawal does not retroactively invalidate lawful processing.
5. Accounts and payments
Session, login and anti-fraud technologies may be necessary for Accounts and checkout. Payments are processed through Stripe, which may use its own necessary technologies for transactions and fraud prevention. See https://stripe.com/privacy. Cookie obligations depend on the actual integration.
6. Duration
Cookies may expire with the browser session or persist until their configured expiry or deletion. The 90-day retention of API logs does not set the lifespan of cookies. Personal-data retention is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Browser settings
Browsers allow deletion or blocking of cookies, which may impair login, checkout or session functionality. Browser controls may not remove other storage technologies or replace the site's own consent settings.
8. Third parties
Third-party payment and service providers may receive technical information necessary for requested features. GeoNexa does not claim to deploy advertising or analytics products that are not installed. New optional technologies will be disclosed and consent collected before use.
9. Legal framework
Applicable UK electronic-privacy rules and relevant rules in served markets, together with UK GDPR and EU GDPR where relevant, govern these technologies. Strictly necessary storage can qualify for a lawful exemption; otherwise legally required prior consent is obtained.
10. Updates
This Policy will be updated when technologies or law change. Material new consent-based purposes will be subject to a new choice before activation.
